The Severnside Television Group.
We are a group of amateur television enthusiasts, based in the City of Bristol in the south west of England. Our catchment area covers the Bristol Channel, lower River Severn and surrounding areas, including Cardiff, Newport and of course Bristol itself. Membership is not limited to this area though as many of our number come from further afield.
We operate two television repeater stations, GB3ZZ in Filton in the north of Bristol and GB3XG . At the moment GB3XG is off the air until a new site for it can be found.

Amateur Television is a fascinating hobby which encompasses the electronics of making and modifying television equipment in order to send or receive pictures and the skills of producing material for others to see.
It's a bit like building your own TV station and being program producer as well!
Unlike commercial television, most of what we do is driven by enthusiasm rather than cash. Most of us work on a tight budget and build our own stations rather than buying ready made units. The results of our work often surpasses the quality of commercial broadcasters. We are a friendly Group and always willing to share our knowledge and skills to help others.
